apple ram is more expensive, but i think that its covered under a 1 year warranty or covered under your mac's warranty which ever is longer, even apple care i believe
Yes if you buy your ram from apple it will be covered under applecare... but the ram from apple is 250bucks and i upgraded my ram from 1GB to 2 for 70 bucks

It is guaranteed to meet all Apple specifications since Micron is one of the companies that supplies RAM to Apple and Crucial is a trademark of Micron. Also it comes with a lifetime warranty. It is not as cheap as value RAM because Micron memory is of the highest quality but still significantly cheaper than buying it from Apple. 2GB of memory for MB for $102.
