Hi Folks, A friend of mine has just bought a nokia dv3 box on ebay from Germany. He got a German Premiere Technik installation manual and a copy of a cd that just flashes thru images on Media Player on pc. Have plugged in at home, Initial screen comes up as computer data, updated april 07 then using remote pressing Guide button get select Dublin NTL World, select same and screens ask Do you want to restart Dbox2 Yes or No. Have tried both options if Yes am getting Reakity Zone on lcd screen on the front of the box counting 1/01 upwards. I am lost as its completely different to my own BOX (THE BOX) Does anybody know am I on the right track or what happens next?
If you got a dbox2 with a remote for a nokia mediamaster forget the guide button. The TV button is the dbox button and the button with the melody sign is the Home button. The text on the coloured buttons don't match the function. Only the colour is important not the text.

Plug in the box and wait until the box is fully booted up. You should get a error messages no channels found do a channel scan. Press the home button, press the dbox button and select services and go to channel scan. Go to the provider line and select with the ok button what you want and start the scan.
Sorry lost message, have found services, then service scan, comes up Cable System uk 6887 Scan Transponder 1/188 and upwards. Cannot find NTL SORRY ABOUT THIS MGB17, but still all at sea. All help greatly appreciated. This box has about 305 channells already listed on it, all uk and also some german, mainly adult
You should get a few channels via uk6887 in Dublin. Select new in the bouquets line and wait until the scan is ready. If the channels are working you need only a cables.xml for ireland for a full scan.
