It's a pinging sort of squeaky sound. I've been getting it intermittently this evening.

    CC = Cable Company

    Im sorry to confuse you

You can try a factory setting to see if it helps

    Press Menu > Factory Setting
    PIN 0000
    OK to delete

Turn box off at the back for a minute and turn back on

    English > Installation
    Choose Provider (N*L) etc
    Automatic Scan
    Press OK
    *** Channels found
    Exit

    Menu 1570
    Turn EMU key ON

    Exit , exit , exit

That all looks very dangerous LOL The last time I did that sort of thing, I ruined my previous box :( And this is only a bit of pinging which I haven't even noticed today anyway. Is it worth doing all this? What is the worst thing it could be?

lol , if it was dangerous I wouldnt give you the advice to do it and it only takes less than 5 mins to do

If its not a major problem then leave it be as I said it could be a cable company glinch and it will sort itself out

    Its up to you :)

Definitely best not to touch anything, especially when there is so much that can go wrong if you press the wrong button inadvertenly. :)

I use them cos when you type in Starview , etc it creates a hyperlink within the text and I dont like that lol

Also for some reason we have to use them like N*L and Telewe*t etc

    Does this make sense
