You probably have either an outdated hard disk controller, or you don't have any service packs installed for XP. Do you use XP?

I have quite the same problem, trying to re-install windows xp pro onto a 320GB, but it only shows me 132GB. ]

am i to understand that after I install (after multiple reformats i may add), that when i upgrade to SP2, it will read all of my missing capacity?
