please help with motherboard

    basically i have a Gigabyte GA-8PE800 motherboard and i want to upgrade certain areas of it so that it would run faster i would buy another moter board but i havent got the money at the mo lol so i wanna take it step by step so i was just wondering what the best graphics card available for my motherboard would be also id like to know what precesor is the best on the market that would be compatable with my motherboard that you i will post specs of mother board

    well, socket 478 mobos are pretty old, but I think the best processor for that would be the one you allready have.


    As for the gfx card, the Gecube x1950xt is the fastest card out there for AGP, and it will probably allways be that way. Unfortunelry, people are having many problems with the cooler that comes with it, and say it doesnt work right. (I have one, it works fine, but I've got water cooling)

    Probably a Gainward Bliss 7800GS+ (plus is very important) would be your best bet.

    thanks man err. so i was wondering can i get any nvidia geforce under Gainward Bliss 7800GS+ (GeForce 7900)?

    ohh sorry i meant would i be able to get and graphics card like geforce 7600 gt (if that what its called) PCI

    sorryfor this noob question but will a pci-e work for a normal pci?

    no as both are of different dimensions & pin configurations. pci/e is longer than pci.

    why are you repeating the specs that is also your 1st post? just ask if this card will work on my board with the specs posted above. that card will work on your board as both card & agp slot is 1.5volts.
