Laptop to TV PLEASE HELP

ok well i plugged an S-Video cord into my laptop and then into my TV

after that i went to the ATI Catalyst control panel i guess and selected TV and LAptop then went through the thing, restarted my computer and when it hits the Windows XP loading screen it shows up on the TV but when i get to username page nothing shows.... Can anyone help me out? Thanks in Advanced

I am using an Fujitsu, ATI Mobility Radeon X1400

 

yah try pressing fn + f4.

 

fn+F1-F12 didnt work

 

What!? You hold the function key and the f4 key at the same time, i'm not joking!

 

on my laptop its Fn+10 but that doesnt work, it fizzles on the screen a little but thats about it, if i restart laptop the windows xp loading screen shows up then it turns off

 

Use a different s-video cable, somebody else had your problem in thr forums and they used a different cable and it worked.
