Have always wondered if different DVD burning software has different results of the video image that was burned, has anyone ever looked into this? If so what was your results. Can software any come close to the original dvd image, that is my question in a nut shell.

Bytes are Bytes and the burning software just moves them from one place to another, so no difference. There are significant differences in authoring and encoding software, however. For example, DVD Shrink looks for stuff it can remove from a video file to make it smaller. DVD Rebuilder re-analyzes and re-encodes the file with a new bit rate and optimization. But on a straight copy basis there should be absolutely no difference.

At another forum they stated that DVD Rebuilder has a better encoder but takes a longer period of time to burn. Who knows, will give it a shot.
