I just got a new acer aspire desktop pc on windows vista, with a built in flash card reader. Is the flash card supposed to appear when its inserted into the card slot, or do I need to download software first. I have an sd flash card and nothing happens when I insert it in the pc.
I tried my usb reader/writer and that works in the usb port, but not the built in flash card reader slots? Anyone know why?
There will be additional drives in my computer, probably several, e.g.: Removable disk (A Local Disk (C CD-ROM Drive (D Removable disk (E Removable disk (F Removable disk (G Removable disk (H It is these four at the bottom (it may be more or less than four, but usually more than one) you're looking for. If they're not there, either you need to install a driver or the reader is faulty. One would hope they are actually connected inside! If they are, but all of them say "please insert disk" when you double-click on them, then either the card is faulty, the card isn't supported, or the reader is faulty.
