Please help me RAM issues

    i recently recieved my my 512 ram pc2700 and installed it to my motherboard which already had a 256 pc2700 on it but for sum reson it leads up an then restarts randomly i took out the 256 and now it runs fine but my 256 used to run properly on its own what could the prblem be and how can i solve it

    Can you try a different slot on the mobo? Also, it could be that the ram is a faulty piece. Try a different stick if you have one.

    i did try another slot and it took quite a qhile for it to restart but it did lol and i havent re3ally got another stick so which is da faulty one?

    if both work on their own but not together then probably compatibilty problem
