He Burned me about 8 Discs with 25 avi files each and tested random ones on each disk, all on disk 1 work and only the first on the other disks work... I used avi codec on one that works and it said Video : 300 MB, 920 Kbps, 23.976 fps, 640*480 (4:3), DIV3 = DivX v3 ;-) MPEG-4 (Low-Motion), Supported and gspot said the same thing, for the ones which don't work gspot says the container type is unknown and avi codec freezes, before when i opened them with avi codec it said that the video codec was unsoported but gspot didn't, so i downloaded div3 and that program with all the codecs which you guys recommend and also vlc player and win amp, none of them will get my files to work... Windows media player 9 says unknown error and divx player says there is no video file for this movie, and vlc just shows the audio bar which moves but dosen't play anything. My friend tried them so why can't i get them to work. Rage!!! any help would be appreciated thx
If you have Nero Tools, use CD_DVD Speed to scan the disk for errors - just in case it was a bad burn. Or download the tool here: http://www.cdspeed2000.com/
Are you saying, your friend can take the same disks that won't work on your system but will still work on his? Has he tried it after you tried and failed?
No he tried them first then sent them to me he lives to far away for him to be able to recheck them. I'll try that nero tool
at the moment i have done 500mb of that disk scan and its 100% (green) i only got about 300 mb to play on that disk,it's still scanning so...
