    Hello,

I'm having real trouble getting D-Boxes at the moment (the price seems to have gone up quite a bit) so I'm looking for alternatives.

It seems as through the Eurovox Max 2008 seems to be the best of the cheaper ones that I see.

Can someone tell me if it has any problems I need to be aware of?

Does it autoroll, ie suffer from the same problems as the Starview in terms of having to put in codes manually?

Will it work fine in Ireland when updated with the latest software from here?

Anything else I should be aware of? What is the tuner strength like? (I found I needed boosters with a lot of my D-Boxes)

I can get Digivox boxes for a bit cheaper though they seem to be suffering from similar problems to Starview.

Is the Eurovox Max 2008 the best way to go if buying an cheaper alternative box to the dBox?

    Thanks

    Hi ,

All the boxes are similar as they perform the same function , really its a matter of preference with some saying the like the Eurovox. I used all of them and they all can have problems . If your using it in Ireland note that the Eurovox 2008 tuner has a problem with downgraded singnals a practice which is spreading across Dublin , i would suggest if you knew of someone who had one test your signal , the Digivox has solved the autoroll problem and has a strong tuner and works in those areas that the eurovox wont...again they are all alike ...hope this helps
