Subtitles importing

    Hi,

    i've purchased a JVC XV-N420B dvd player and i cannot import subtitles when i watch divx movies. Does anyone now how to solve the problem. Thanks.

    Does the subtitle file have the same name as the movie.
    example: mymovie.avi and mymovie.srt ?

    For divx files you should be using xsubs. So mymovie.divx containing audio, video and subtitles. For avi's, an srt with the same name as per above should work.

    Yes, i tried that, but it doesn't work. I have some supsicion that my "great" dvd player has some issues.

    DivX Home Theatre certified and it is my understanding that all certified players should playback xsubs. External subs like srt's aren't part of the certification. Upto the manufacturer if they implement it or not.
