I have a realtek ac97 audio card (integrated). After a recent reformat I installed the realtek drivers and i have no sound coming from my speakers. I checked the device manager and under device status there is this message "This device cannot start. (Code 10)". I think its the sound card itself but any other tips or ideas are appreciated.

    Thanks.

uninstall the card in device manager & restart windows to see if sees hardware & load it's software.

Go to your motherboard manufacturer's website and download the latest audio drivers.
