I just purchased a Sansa e280. Loaded a couple of songs to it, play it, then turned it off and plug it into the USB.

A couple of hours later I unplug and it will not turn on. Has anyone had any issues with this player?

Well after being ready to send this thing back I pulled off the back cover, remove the battery, put it back in and it powered on.

It could be that the battery was loose? I am not sure but I put a small piece of tape to hold the battery in place. I will see what happens over the next few days. I was already going to sell out and by a Nano.

I have the 4 GB version (the e260 I think) and have never had this problem... did you buy it online or in a store? if it was shipped to you maybe it got roughed up in shipping or something. If I were you I'd exchange it for a new one...but whatever you do, don't be a trendy teenager sellout and buy an ipod.

Happened to me, hold the power button for 15 seconds to reset. No, it won't delete anything. If nothing happens, I don't know what to say.
