projecter help PLEASE! is my bulb/lamp gone??

    i have an alpha pro projecter which has a
    120 Watt Lamp type:UHP

    when i turn it on it lights up but then flicks back of with the warning light flashing on.

    does it need a new lamp .
    im asking this because it lights up and then flicks off again. id imagine if the blub was gone it wouldt light up at all.

    so any help PLZ
