memory card issues

    hi
    i just installed 2 new memory cards in my computer.they were never
    configured with each other or the computer.how would the computer
    react or funtion if the memory cards were not configured together?

    well if they're not the right latency, or compatable with the mobo, then you can get restarts, BSODs, shutdowns etc.

    well, if they are not of the same speed, latancy, . . . . . (like the person above me said) then your going to have problems, if they are mostly the same they should work, but they will not run in dual-channel mode, so your computer would not be as fast as if they were two sticks of the same kind
