My old computers motherboard has died and i just bought a new one. The new one has vista on it and i am trying to connect my old HD which is IDE to my new computer with the new SATA HD. I have it jumpered correctly it shows in BIOS properly on boot the main SATA shows as master my CD drive as secondary master and secodary slave as the old ide HD but when i get into windows it is not shown in my computer. Am i doing something wrong?

You will probably be best re formatting your old hd now that it's plugged in to your new mobbo.Windows should pick this up once it's been re formatted whilse attatched to new mobo.
