Overburn PS2 image to CD?

Is it possible to burn and then play a 825Mb PS2 image to a 800Mb CD using the overburn feature? My console has a Magic 3.1 mod chip.
I realise that this is a yes/no type of question but any help or advice is much appreciated. I have actually tried this and while the game seems to start, it doesn't get through the "playstation" page, it sits here for as long as I have the patience to stare at it.

It depends on the media itself (if it has the extra space) and if your hardware supports overburning. Go to the media section of aD to find out more about your specific media type.
