    Heres a far-fetched question...

    I have an Antec P160W case, which has cables running from the front of the case to the mobo, which controls the USB ports, Firewire port, a temperature readout, power light and HDD activity light.

    The lights, and the 1394 jack I dont care about, but this one wire, I believe is for the CD has multiple individual wires coming out of it as follows:
    green=FPOUT-R
    orange=FPOUT-L
    white=MIC BIAS
    blue=RET-R
    yellow=RET-L
    red=MIC
    black=AUD GRND

    Then, on my motherboard there are several plug ports I have no idea what they are for (Its an MSI K9MM-V btw...)
    JAUDIO1 (which is where Iplugged the CDplug in which also has the above wires coming out of)
    JCOM1 (all black)
    JUSB2 (colored plugs, but NOT for the 1394 right?)
    JFP2 (black plugs)

    all of those are 9 pins, with the lower left one missing I think...

    anyone remotely familiar with what I speak of? and where do i plug the free plugs into? ( Now I dont have the temp readouts and HDD activity lights, and i havent tested the headphone/mic jack yet cuz Ihavent gotten Windows back in my system yet....)

    Any helpor guidance is appreciated!

    All those "CD" wires you listed are for the front audio connection. I believe for your headset. You have them plugged into the correct connector on the board, the JAUDIO1 connector.

    From the P160 manual:
    From the Mobo manual:
    JUSB1/JUSB2:
    JFP1 and JFP2:
    These are where you plug in your power and reset switch connectors, your front panel HDD activity and power LEDs and your beep speaker.

    Hey fasfrank....

    Only now I noticed I got a reply to this thread....thank you.

    the front audio ports, USBs and power and HDD LED indicators all work,

    I want to figure out how to get the front panel's temperature readout working.....

    I have about 7 small wires of varying colors still loose, and I know its some of those I need to connect....Im just unsure of where, and dont wanna trial and error this for fear of shorting something....

    Its not REALLY a big deal, but would be nice to have on the hot summer days....

    thanks again!
