I tried and really liked this distro. My problem is that I don't know how to get an older version of wine (9.3.0). How and where can I get it? Please be as descriptive as possible as I'm brand new to Linux.

    Try wine-hq.. http://www.winehq.org/site/download

No releases specifically for pclinux, but maybe the mandriva version will do.. or compile it yourself from source.

I know what you are trying to do and it's better with the lesser distros to stick to native linux tools. Wine is bad news at the best of times.

Thanks Deadlove. I think I might have found a solution to a number of issues with a distro, based off PCLOS, called videoLinux. RB and an older version of wine included.
