    Hi,
I own an eMachines t2893, and whenever I turn it on it beeps three times and nothing shows on the monitor. When I open up the case, there is a red light on the motherboard. All the fans are running and nothing apears (sp?) to be unplugged. Does anyone have an idea about what's wrong?

It could be that something is fried, like your mobo... Can you smell smoke?

I'm reading this from a guide, so it may not work, but it could be bad memory. Do you have more than 1 DIMM installed? If you have more, try taking one out at a time and then turn the pc on. If it comes on, then you know that the one you took out is dead.
