i am looking into buying a dreambox 500c. i have virgin media standard package, so would i just plug the dreambox 500c in and then take the cable that is now going into my ntl box out and put it into the dreambox. would i have to flash the box, i do not know what this i but i see it in all the topics about these boxes. whould i be picking up all the channels like the sports and movie channels. Where would be the best place to get one and the arverage price. i seen somewhere about some boxes are clone and some are genuine and that genuine boxes last longer is this true? i am in the cardiff area if this makes a difference of what channels i would pick up. sorry theres a lot of questions any help would be much appreciated
i have read a post about a dreambox and i think it might have been a tuner problem. always get as much info before u buy. ntl box cable to dreambox. u have a virgin box nothing in it blank. pc needed null modem cable rs232 to dreambox box should contain cd download info from pc to dreambox scan in channels from n*l or whoever ur with plenty of boxes of clones buyer beware warranty 28 days! plenty of people here to advise u different areas receive slightly different chs.
