Please, please tell me how to get more speed from DL's. I have read the Wiki for Azureus, changed setting and have done nothing more than wasted my time. I have a 10mb cable connecton coming into my home and the fastest I can DL is around 5kb/s. Just tell me your settings and maybe Ill have better luck with them. I understand it all really depends on many variables, but Im out of trials. lol Thanks!

Oh, it says Im firewalled even when I disable my firewall. I know its a NAT thing, but...thats something I have tried to fix reading the Wiki.

Until you clear up your NAT problem adjusting the settings is not going to do much good.

Do you have a router? Make and model?
Did you forward Azureus' port through the router?
What is your software firewall make?
You should not have to disable it, as you can make an exception for Azureus in it.

What version of Azureus are you using?
I have 3.0.2.2 and have been using Tools/Options/Transfer/Auto Speed-Auto Speed (beta) and have been getting very good speeds.

Make sure you have port forwarding set up with a random port. I use 26000, but it can be anything. Do not use the default. If you don't know what port forwarding is or how to do it, use google.

You could also set your main PC as the DMZ but it's less secure.

A great tool is NAT or NOT, it will give your local IP. Just do a search I'm at work :D
