TRIED THIS AND IT WORKED A TREAT ON MY 2008. Ok cracked it, I had 2 Max_V 2008 box's die on me (Black Box). After a bit of trial and error (and hair pulling)I managed to get them both up and running again. First off, I purchased a Jtag lead off eB*y (did'nt have the time to make my own), cheap, worked out at €12 including postage (great value on the dollar at the moment). Loaded the Tsop file for the Eurovox Red box using Jkeys, there's a problem with this file which also affects the Red Box but I have explained in detail the steps to get it working on the attached file. You may say why did I not just return them to the seller, 1) Would have to post to UK at a cost to myself, 2) Time delay getting new units, 3)If any more units go down I can now repair them. Seeing is believing as I wonder now can the September firmware update be loaded to the box as it now has Red Box firmware on it. And future updates for the Max V have a combined loader/firmware set up. Regarding the RF output problem that is a known issue and was resolved a few months back. Also wondering was this box repaired via the intel chipset jkeys method or the normal method. I will take my hat of to Dolphin as I have seen this posted in a few places now but without the black tsop what do you have a working red box, which is better than a dead black one I suppose.
Still waiting on Dolphin to get back to me on the 2008 updates if they can be loaded, Haven't a clue bout the intel chipset or whatever i'm a noob, just bought a jtag and followed his insturcions. But hey a box is better than no box if i had of bought another one that would have been €1000 on boxes in the last month. so i'm happy.
i was talkin to ya the other day about me boxes dyin and the chap i got them off on ebay wouldn't answer his phone or email me back so couldn't send them back to him for replacement, was usin them as bookends so now i got them workin again i now have one for each bedroom, LOL.
Apologies so you were, I do speak to quite a few people here Just by chance have you tried downloading the Sept update to one of the boxes to see the outcome. If it bricks it at least you know how to get it back and it will answer the query if the Max V firmware will download to it.

Thanks Scouser Where can i find the red tsop and which version of jkeys...never used jkeys what do i do , i bought a jtag of ebay and it came with sky with the blue tsop but it wont work , it loads ,erase and start the flash but alwys fails.. Thanks Grace
Thanks , It worked the box is alive again , i used skymax and loaded the red tsop. just one thing the scarts dont work , so is it the uhf channel i tune after connecting it to the other output and what is the frequency im looking for. Again thanks for all your help
1. Plug the RF lead into the video RF socket on the back of the Eurovox. 2. Tune your telly until you get the 'enter pin' screen for your Eurovox. 3. Enter the master pin which is 1004. 4. Go to Eurovox menu and clear data, then do a factory reset. 5. Thats it, plug your scart back in and do a powerscan as normal.
As a matter of interest after Jtaging the box , i refalshed it in the normal manner with the 2007 red box ordinary image and this resolved the scart issue , so the box is as before..
