Hi, im wondering if i can switch the ram from one computer to the other. The one i want to take the ram from is a HP pavilion dv4270ca and put into Hp pavilion zt3350us, both are notebook. I want to upgrade the zt3350us from 512 to 1024. Heres some stats i got from ram page if this helps in answering

    dv4270ca- 512mb-533 mhz, ddr2-533 pc2-4200 200pin sodimm 1.8v
    zt3350us- 512mb ddr sodimm 333mhz pc2700 200pin 2.5v

seeing 1.8v vs 2.5v is making me concerned, but they do both take the same powercord so im assuming the volts are the same

They aren't the same number of pins, they won't fit I'm afraid.
One is DDR, the other is DDR2, not compatible.

Hi, the notebook that you want to upgrade has two ram slots if memory serves me correctly. If your existing ram module is 512mb, all you have to do is add another 512 to get 1 gig of ram.
