My Sound Card Isnt Operating, Please Help!

    Hi!

    Today I re-formatted my computer, isntalling a fresh copy of Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 on my cmputer. Now everything is back to normal except for one thing - my sound card. It will not play sound. When I try to play a song in Windows Media Player I get this error message:

    My sound card worked perferctly beforehand, so it mustve become uninstalled when I put a fresh copy of XP on there. This is what my Device Manager looks like:

    Hope I have provided enough details for you to help me out. I have already tried a Windows Update and that still doesnt help. If you can, please do so asap. Thanks heaps, look forward to your comments.

    You haven't installed any drivers yet!
    Get your motherboard CD and install all the chipset drivers.

    Yeah you don't have ANY drivers installed. I bet that your webpages scroll chopilly too. If you don't have a drivers cd your motherboard manufacturer will have them on the website.

    Ok, well I have a Dell Dimension 3100, can someone please give me a link to their drivers because I went to the Dell website, found my computer model and there is a whole list and I dont know which one to download. Thankyou
