   Hello,there is also the matter of my curiosity...is there a possibility that i can listen to my mp3's on dolby digital? does an mp3-to-ac3 converter exist? That would be really awesome.

   mp3 -> AC3 conversion is transcoding and will decrease quality (probably not very much, depending on bitrate).
   
   I don't understand for what reason you want to do this. Could you please explain?
