Since i bought my insignia HDTV (model IS-HDPLTV42) the remote has been a total POS. I've search the internet far and wide for a universal remote solution which seemed impossible to find, I came across this site (specifically this thread :http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/396504) And still no luck... BUT i went out and purchased the Logitech 550 Harmony remote, and it works for my TV and on my buddies IS-EDPLTV42. So for everyone whos frustrated at the crappy insignia remotes and crappy universal controllers, this one does work. Just thought i'd share for anyone who was as frustrated as i was
