It is technology that allows you to control and broadcast your cable tv over the net so that you can watch it anywhere.

Basically you hook up any Sling Media device to your cable at home and then you can watch TV from your computer anywhere you have internet access. You can even change channels, etc. Pretty cool if you're on the road alot and you don't want to miss your favourite tv shows.
