I installed a bootable imaage on my usb key, this cut the memory on the key in half. But the trouble is that the image doesn't work and nothing shows up in explorer. So does anyone know what will restore my key to its first state.
to reclaim your space on your usb stick, you could just re-format it if it only has one partition. If you have more than one partition on it, let me know.
I have tried to frmat, but the most space it will let me format is 245mb. In the usb key properties it still says that the partition is MBR.
MBR = Master Boot Record Try this. Plug your USB stick into your computer. Go to your control panel and open up Administrative Tools. Click on Computer Management and in the left pane, about center page, click on Disk Management under Storage and look for your USB Disk on the right. Do you see one partition or more? What data is there? If you see only one. You should be able to right click on your drive and select format, and set it up the way you like. If you see more than one, right click and select Delete Partition on all, and re format as one drive.
That excatly what i have been doing. I don't understand my self where the space has gone, it can't have just dissapered. I have to go now, tomorrow i'll post screenshots and maybe it will clear it up. Thanks for your help so far.
