By the looks of it, it could well be (I'm no expert).

And yeah, we don't have anything half as deadly here in the UK, of UK origin anyway.. (I don't think so anyway)

    /me hates spiders :-X

Omg, I live in Ontario. And according to Wikipedia, they are in southern states. But there are some in Canada too. And btw, the spider, looks deadly on my picture... don't they all? Come on, I lived here for 4 years, I would have probably heard something about it. Is there any online help?

    Brown Recluse Spider

    Identification

In the mature brown recluse spider as well as some other species of recluse spiders, the dark violin marking is well defined, with the neck of the violin pointing toward the bulbous abdomen. The abdomen is uniformly colored, although the coloration can range from light tan to dark brown, and is covered with numerous fine hairs that provide a velvety appearance. The long, thin, brown legs also are covered with fine hairs, but not spines. Adult brown recluse spiders have a leg span about the size of a quarter. Their body is about 3/8 inches long and about 3/16 inches wide. Males are slightly smaller in body length than females, but males have proportionally longer legs. Both sexes are venomous. The immature stages closely resemble the adults except for size and a slightly lighter color. Whereas most spiders have eight eyes, recluse spiders have six eyes that are arranged in pairs in a semicircle on the forepart of the cephalothorax (see close-up view). A 10X hand lens or microscope is needed to see this diagnostic feature. In order to determine the exact species of Loxosceles, the spider's genitalia need to be examined under a high-power microscope. This requires the skills of a spider expert.

It's hard to say for sure if it was a recluse or not. Really doesn't
    matter unless it bit you.
Go to your local hardware store and get a package of insect bombs.
You set them off in the house. They create a fog that kills all
creepy critters. You must leave the house for a couple of hours.
Then open all the windows and air the place out real well.
Don't just put one in the house. Do the basement and the garage at
    the same time.

oh god, but it said violin shape is well defined, and on mine you can't even see the violin shape. I haven't heard of people saying anything about spiders here. Anyways, in my basement, I was closing the windows and there's like 5 spiders on each. Then I go upstairs to near the interior garage door, and I see a web with 2 of them in the corner of the stairway and then I see 1 more on the ceiling. I don't thing it's likely, but I have some other images of it.

It's getting colder outside, is that the reason spiders come inside? Oh did I tell you that last year I killed a spider in my bedroom... prolly crawled out of the central ventilation that leads to basement... come on, I need pro identification help here. Please get someone online. I live in Ontario for 4 years and never heard of 2nd most poisonous spider?

lol lol, I caught another one and put it into a bottle. Made some airholes and placed him into a dark spot. He kinda retracted his legs and is in his web in there, he's not dead right? Anyways, the one I caught now is really small, 1/2 of a quarter and that 1st post picture exagerrates his looks and size sooo badly...

No it is not. Recluse like to hang out in warm damp low light areas. They will wander and end up in clothing or shoes but not often. Once they set up shop they will more than likely stay there.

i was in pest control for about 4 years. In Indiana we have brown recluse spiders all over the place, and by the looks of your pics, these are not brown recluse spiders. they appear to be wolf spiders, and there are many different species of various shapes and sizes that are catagorized as a wolf spider. On the brown recluse the violin shape on top of the body is very easy to see.

and for the record, you wont feel a brown recluse bite, the pain and swelling takes a few minutes to set in. by the time you feel it, better get to the hospital. and dont try to suck the venom out, thats a no-no.

i'll end by quoting the immortal words of Monty Python "..run away, run away.."
