swap magic 3 should be better as the cd version will be able to boot 80 min cd rips which version 2 cant and the dvd version 3
(when complete)should do away with the need for extra boot discs like cd loader(and the extra swapping of discs)to boot new double check games

Hey Devilhunt the SM2 might be better I heard they are working on a cdloader that can do dvd rips and such.I bet the new cdloader coming out is gonna be better than SM3.I think SM3 and SM2 will be the same thing because SM3 you still have to use a original game with it to get it to boot.Peace L-Burna

i know what you are saying (about dvd rips still having to double swap)but if sm3 dvd will load double check games with a single swap(straight boot)then it should be an improvment on sm2 cant realy complain to much about sm2/cd loader combo cos there aint much you cant load with them. (ps there's also a new cd loader v1.2 posted up on ps2ownz)

It can't load 80min rips, that's the MASSIVE problem with sm2

I just read off www.ps2ownz.com they are working on a cdloader that can play 80 min rips.I would say SM2 and SM3 are about the same to be honest but SM3 is not completed both discs so nobody can really make statements on how bad it will be or how good it will be.We will all just have to wait and see what is the difference when it comes out.Right now though we can say that SM2 is actually better only for the fact that it is available.

L-Burna, so to play load a dvd game with swap magic v2, you still need the original copy in order to load? that sucks, i feel like i just wasted my money on shit,.

That does suck. What is the purpose of having a backup if you have to have the original to make it load? What is the point of the software?

no you dont need the orignal to load a backup ps2 game you just boot swap magic and swap with your backup and press x and it boots but some games have a double check so you have to use an extra (free)boot program called cd loader to boot these games.for 1:1 backups cd or dvd at no point do you need to use the orignal to boot the backup games.
