eMule not connecting to Kad

Since the taking down of the major eMule servers, I have had to rely more on Kad.

As of today with a fresh install of eMule, I have been unable to connect to any Kad clients. Only one "listing" comes up and it is "connecting to Kad node" and then next to it it says "stopping"... then nothing. No more activity.

I made sure my ports were getting through my router as I remapped them twice and tested them with the "test port" option.

This is really strange... Does anyone have any suggestions?

i experience the same problem and am very baffled.
please, anybody have a fix?
