overclock C2D with stock heatsink

    hi,i have a E6750 and was wondering how much you could overclock it with the standard heatsink that comes in the box, im guessing not much, do you think i could get it to 3.0GHz??

    You could make 3.2Ghz with the stock cooler provided the rest of your components are good. Beyond that and you'd want a better cooler.

    It would run a little hot but 3Ghz is feasable. If you want a cheap aftermarket HSF check out the Arctic Cooler Freezer 7 Pro, it's 22 bucks and performs well.

    Agreed, the Freezer 7 Pro's a good cooler.
