You will need 3 scart leads to do this

    1. DVD to TV
    2. SV to TV
    3. DVD to SV

Then your incoming cable into SV "Cable Input"
And Coax Cable from SV to DVD

    Hi, there. I connected:
    1. DVD to TV
    2. SV to TV
    3. DVD to SV
Then cable to SV input and cable output to DVD Antenna-in. Still only getting the basic terrestrial channels and some of them are snowy and blurred. What am I doing wrong? Tanx again....(",)

You have the scart leads correct

Then incoming cable to SV "Cable Input" and the coax lead from Starvi*w TV OUT to DVD TV IN

Then check on your TV on AV1 AV2 etc

Hello, again. Did as you suggested- main ntl cable to SV cable input and SV tv out to Antenna in on dvd but only one channel was stored. Suppose that's it, then. It does not work. Tanx for your help, anyway.

You dont need to tune all the channels as they should work on the SV though AV 1 / AV 2 etc , Put the DVD station on your TV and try change the channels on the Starvi*w and see if it works , Have you any other options on the DVD other than Antenna In ?

Hello again. Besides Antenna-in, there is TV-Out. Don't hold out much hope of it working and every time I do it, I have to then re-install the terrestrial channels and rename them and sort them. Pain in the butt....(",)

I reckon rf-in is Antenna-in on the DVD recorder....What should happen when I connect the system is what happens when I connect via normal ntl-the whole lot installs automatically and is viewed in Ext. 2 on the tv. Tanx again for replying.....very good of you to show the interest in the problem....(",)

Well I dont know much about this problem really , im only answering because I have a DVD Recorder connected up to my Starvi*w and it works no problem .

Basically I connected mine up the way I told you , I put on the DVD station , which is AV2 on my TV , and I can choose between source options on the DVD ( e.g. Front AV , Scart , TV )

My Front AV is connected up to a camera or camcorder etc
My Scart is connected up to my Starvi*w
and my TV is connected up to my normal channels (N*L)

Im sorry but thats the only info I can help with , hope you can get this up and running and be able to record off the Starvi*w :)

Hello again. Hope you are well. Eye finally got the recorder working with the box by connecting a scart from Ext. 2 on the recorder and VCR scart on the SV box. It will record as long as the SV box is on when Eye do it which means every time Eye record the station Eye am recording must be on on the SV box. Better than nothing Eye Suppose Eye did not connect cable from one to the other at all. Tanx again.
