my "D" Drive will not read anything I put into it, including DVDS.

I get the message "Failed to read d://"

What is going on and how can I fix it? Thanks.

Does you drive show in My Computer or Device Manager? Try uninstalling it in Device Manager, reboot, and see if it is recognized again.

DVD Shrink won't do the newer dvds, by itself anymore, because of the new copy protections. There's not been an update to Shrink in a long time. Give DVDFab HD Decrypter a try: http://www.dvdfab.com/free.htm It handles the new protections pretty well.

After using DVDFab HD Decrypter, you can then run the files through Shrink, to compress them as usual.
