I need a pdf reader for my new (unmodded) psp slim?
is there one, or does the one for the psp fat still work?

No. Sony is a company which neglects its supporters unfortunately :P
If your PSP slim is running original firmware, u will not be able to run such a program.
Get a CFW installed first, then u can use something like bookr

Not sure if bookr is compatible with psp slim, but u can install something like irshell 3.71 which has a built in pdf reader.

But what are the main features of IRshell? I heard you can listen to music while playing a game but is there a site or a guide that shows everything it is capable of doing?

only way i found for now is
get a pdf 2 html convertor.
put the html file on the memory stick and in your web browser go:
file:/name of your file.html

Go on google and search "PSPWXP", download the package and put it in ur psp, if u get a new version, it should have the PSPDF reader inside it, i tried it on my psp and it works perfectly fine.

just stuck bookr on my slim 3.71m33-3 and so far, it's been working great.
now lets find out how good "I Am Legend" was supposed to be...

OK, there's this app it's Safari (Mac's web browser) and there's a video on YouTube I made that explains how to put in in your PSP and it includes built in PDF reader and much more like Windows Live Mobile for free. Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=48JC3mfZPBk

hey there,
first of all - you have to be on custom firmware.
if you are, download DEAD LINK, extract the "bookr" folder and drag/copy it to the "GAME" folder in your psp's MS and then run it from the XMB.
and that's about it. you can add more books(pdf/txt) to the already included 1984 - by placing them in the "books" folder within "bookr".
if any of that didn't make sense post back and i'll try to clarify it a bit more.

would anyone upload the proper version of bookr? i cant find the version that works with slim 3.90....
EDIT:Seems like i found the 'bookr for cfw 3.XX'. works like a charm.:)

i think the book u r trying to open is too big to handle for the psp. does his happen to only one books or all the books. if only one book then the book file is the problem....
