Hi guys was looking for some help on this matter was wondering if someone could help me out i just bought a nokia dbox2 from Germany and i have put Commando firmware on it the only problem is i live in a C***** network area and the symbol rate is 6875 provider id is 5E 01 so i was looking for a xml bouquet for it as i have done a scan and it has found nothing i can of course manually input the freq which i have but the problem is i dont have the 6 number id for it so if some one could help me out with this i would be greatful for your time and help i live in the Kildare area thanks ferg
Are you sure you get an digital feed. Part of the Kildare area was analogue only in the past and digital subscribers got a mmds aerial.
FTP to the dbox, upload the irish10 cables.xml to var/tuxbox/config, overwrite the old one, delete the file scan.conf in the same folder, pull the plug. Replug, go to the scan menue and choose in the provider line what you want. http://www.4shared.com/file/23825731/da1fcb7a/irish10.html
I have uploaded the file to the box and all it will let me scan for is 6887/6952 or all uk only so still no joy on the channels i cant get the net id for c***** so the symbol rate wont change
In some images the cables.xml goes to /share/tuxbox. If you ftp to the dbox you are landing in the var folder. You have to go one step higher in the folder hierarchie to see the share folder. If there is a cables.xml in share/tuxbox overwrite it with the new one, delete scan.conf in var/tuxbox/config and pull the plug.
I have done that and still no joy on it there was no cable xml file in there from the start so not sure what is wrong
If there was no cables.xml your image using the the standard var/tuxbox/config. You have to overwrite the old cables.xml and you have to delete the scan.conf and most important you have to pull the plug. If you are able to select sym6952 you didn't overwrite the old cables.xml.
Yes found it where you said it was i deleted it and the scan as well and have it on now found the channels but have a blank screen now only freeview channels showing
Later commando images were published without keys. I don't know what you got. Check if there are keyfiles in var/keys and rom files in var/scce.
I am using blade on this box do you know what cam you use on the C***** network I have some channels working freeview ones that is all
Default is gbox at a blade image and gbox is not working for chorus. Select mgcamd and wait a little bit for the autoupdate.
ok fine is there anything else need to be changed in there as well like active uCode what should that be do you know
The boxes are simply different. You have to check out by yourself which ucode is the best for your box. If the default ucode version is working don't change it. If you change the ucode version you have to reboot the dbox after that.
thanks for you help on this i have them all working now and all clear thanks again keep up the good work Ferg
