i just got a used macbook from a friend and i was wondering if i could purchuse a replacement shell for the computer. it is pretty dirty and has a few cracks on the edges. so is there any place that i can buy a new shell?
well the top case (keyboard/track pad) is easly replaced, but the rest of the laptop (bottom case, and back of screen) are harder and more costly. The top case is goin to be around 85 to 90 buck
apple store or apple authorized service center. You could probably find them on ebay and such, but i would stick with an apple place.
I think you should take it to the store and get the shell replaced there , and after you get the new shell check everthing make sure it works well before you leave .
