I have purchased a Devolo AV200 Homeplug starter pack. I have 1 powerline connected via Ethernet to my BT Homehub router and plugged into a mains socket. There is also an Ethernet cable from the Homehub into the rear of my main PC. Downstairs I have 1 powerline connected via Ethernet into my laptop and also plugged into a mains socket. Internet browsing is fine - that worked immediately. However, even if I start 'Easyshare' and make folders available, I cannot share them between the 2 PCs. I have enabled filesharing on the folders I want to share. The main PC is running Vista and the laptop is running XP. Devolo instructions are worse than useless and they have not answered my enquiries. I think the answer is probably very simple - can any of you guys help?

This wouldn't be a firewall issue would it...perhaps the two machines are blocking each other from seeing the shared folders.

Indeed it was, thank you. After I had manually input the ports in Vista Firewall, it worked! Thanks once again.
