Hi im new. Ive been wanting to FTP roms and emulators to my xbox. i have an executer2 chip, will this work?. if so will i be able to connect with an ethernet cable? as i dont have a crossover cable.

You can play the games from the disc, I believe the emulators need to be on the HDD! These can be transferred from DVD to the HDD via one of the many file explorers available for the Xbox. You can only use a straight through cable if you are using a switch or router into the loop... 'Like' devices (Your PC NIC and the Xbox NIC) require a crossover!
thanks for the replies ive gone and bought a crossover cable. i have put my computers IP and subnet details into the xbox i think i have the correct IP and subnet of my xbox and put them into the TCP/IP settings but there seems to be problems with the DNS server and gateway, all the FAQs and guides refer to having a dashboard,and now im stuck, im not sure how to connect without a dashboard, i have the origional xbox menu. anyone know what im doing wrong?
