Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet NIC has yellow exclamation mark

    hi,
    In device manager Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet NIC has yellow exclamation mark,When i click update drivers it says error no driver found error code 28 . I downloaded these drivers from the toshiba website,REALTEK GbE & FE Ethernet PCI NIC Driver LAN Setup ,i get this error there was a problem installing this hardware ethernet controller an error occured during the installation of this device access denied. Any clues anyone please help, my comp specs

    uninstall the device in device manager & restart windows so can find new hardware & load it's driver.

    I have a problem. I have my pc connected via ethernet cable then when I hook up my laptop to this ethernet cable it wont bring up the internet any suggestions?

    dcplayer8 you really need to start a new thread rather than post to one that has been dormant for 5 months. This will help everyone, including yourself and forum mod's.

    I would start by checking that you have the correct network settings on the laptop. If it is configured with different settings, i.e. IP address, subnet mask, DNS, DHCP etc then it will not work.

    You need to check these settings in your network connections page.

    dcplayer8, read this from the forum rules.
    8. Don't reply with an off-topic comment/question -- instead start a new thread.
    release your pc ip address before connecting to laptop. your manual from your isp will tell you how. or get a router so both can be on the net at same time.

    Click on the "Start a new thread" button to the upper right portion of your screen.
