Best external HD

    I've seen some conflicting info about a good brand of external HD's, and I'm sure it will be no different here, but what commercial brand of external HD has treated you well.

    I'm looking for a dependable model most importantly, about 300-500 Gig.

    I've always done it myself, buy an internal PC hard disk and then an enclosure to use them with, I usually go with Icy Box IB-351s and Western Digital drives. The hard disks themselves are good, but I do not recommend you buy a MyBook.
