Thanks to apost at Doom9 I have finally got DVDFab to work on Linux with Wine. There are a lot of bugs at the moment with the GUI but I have been able to rip a number of discs including Sony and Macrovision RipGaurd protected and open them with DVD Shrink.

I am still early in the testing and there are still many bugs to be worked out. I will be starting a thread in the Linux section to see if we can get some more people working on this.

DVDFab 4.0.0.8 with path player enabled and change dvd playback order. All seems to work will do some more testing on other titles.

Can you give us an update Wolfmanz? I can get the free version (5.0.7.6) to rip just fine, but because of some bug I can't change any of the settings such as path player etc. I also can't register for the pro version either because of another bug. Let us know if your having better luck.

Don't use the pay for version only the free ripper, so the registration isn't a problem for me. Over at CD Freaks there is lots of talk about it not working right. You can always do a new wine install every 30 days to get around that.

The bug with the settings is still the same on my set up, they will work with a combination of the up and down keys and a mouse click.

I am still running Wine 1.0 ON Ubuntu Gutsy 7.10 pretty stable why change for now.

The latest version of DVD Fab 6.0.0.2 is working on my Linux machine, have not tried any of the Blu-Ray stuff waiting on a drive and $$$.
