Anyone else have any issues using VOB Blanker on Hostel 2? I blanked out the trailers and kept menus and deleted scenes but during processing I get an error and it shuts down. I used DVDFABHD Decrypter and VOBBlanker 2.1.3.
What's the error message you get? I own Hostel II and I didn't have any problems with it (see my signature about my process).
The only times I've come across an error message with VOBB is when the copy protection is too much (think Saw III) or when the disc is badly scratched. That's about it.
*EDIT* Better yet, what version of VOBB are you using?
Vob Blanker 2.1.3 - It's a Vobblanker MFC error "unsynchronized packs - having to shut down. The only other movies this has happened to was Reign Over Me - it errors out most of the way though the process.
I tried VOBB 2.0.1.0 and I get:
"Error reading input VOB: Unsynchronized"
This happens when it starts to process VTS 02 in the writing phase.
I blanked VTS_02 thru VTS_13 and VTS_24 thru VTS_ 27.
If I skip VTS_02 it processes fine - I just cannot recode it. It has something to do with VTS_02.
I'll double check the settings I got with mine. I'm at work right now so I can't do it. If you don't get a reply from me tomorrow (Sunday), PM me because I probably forgot lol.
Here's my default settings for Vob Blanker 2.1.3.0 - i don't ever mess with the settings as i don't blank anything out. I see you're into blanking out trailers, menus etc so don't know if the default settings will help but you never know -
Here is what I discovered - I read a guide somewhere where it explained that you can click on the VTS_XX in the TitleSet area on the main screen and right click and select blank. I had started doing this about 6 weeks ago never giving it a thought.
I used to do it by double clicking on the VTS_XX that I wanted to blank; which would take you into the Menu of the VTS_XX file and blanking the PGC file. The go back to the main menu and select the PGC in the selected titleset and select blank.
I had thought that I could just select the VTS_XX file and right-click and blank it from the main menu and be done - but I guess not. Once I went into the Menu of the VTS_XX and blanked that slection as well Hostel 2 processed fine.
Odd - but at least I found out the reason for the "hiccup". I also just re-did Reign Over Me and that processed fine as well (I had the same issue as with Hostel 2). I used version 2.1.3.
