create an iso in under 5 mins then burn

DVD/CD CREATION UNDER 5 MINUTES
(DVD will not be a bootable video type, it is just a DATA DVD/CD,
see bottom for more details)

NOTE: through out the guide i mention video files, this can also be any normal file(S) you want to create into an iso.

The point: This guide is to help you create an iso, which you can then
make into a dvd/cd,all of which in under 5 minutes,
and instead of paying 50$ for software you only have to give up 5 minutes.

The process: You will basically take your video's and create an iso file with them, and then burn the iso.


(note: This guide may look long and difficult but I just put in every step so there would be no confusion, the step I didn’t mention is putting a cd into the drive, if you have any problems with this process calm down, we will assist you )

1)First get DOISO

Don’t worry the download is clean!




2)Now let’s gets imgburn
DOWNLOAD: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_software/cdr_tools/imgburn.cfm



(Note: Install both Doiso and imgburn before you continue)
3)Ok Launch DOISO



4)Hit this button




5) A window will pop up and you must select the folder the video file is in
(NOTE: THE FILE MUST BE ALONE IN THE FOLDER, YOU CAN HAVE MULTIPLE FILES IF YOU WISH BUT ONLY THE FILES YOU INTEND ON MAKING INTO A DVD/CD SHOULD BE IN THE FOLDER ALONE)



6)Select the "ok" option



7) Now make sure Doiso looks like this (the volume label will be different and the location of the file will also be different but make sure the other options are the same)REMEMBER WHAT YOU TYPE INTO THE "VOLUME LABEL" AREA WILL BECOME THE NAME OF YOUR DVD/CD
Also if your iso file fails to be created or the program crashes during the process select a different iso level under the "Iso Creation options" tab



8)select the start option



9)A window will pop up prompting you where to put the finished product


Naturally select the area where you want your finished iso end up
Then hit SAVE

10) In as little as 30 seconds to 5 minutes (depends on processor speed) doiso will be done!


make sure in the corner of the screen it says “OPERATION COMPLETE”


Then hit the close option and close out of doiso
CONGRATULATIONS you’ve created an iso file

11)Now launch Imgburn



12) Go here in imgburn


select this icon (below)

13) A window like this (or the same) will launch


select the add button

A windows will launch

browse until you find your iso file, then hit "Open"

The window at the beginning of section 13 will now have this added (names will obviously differ)


Now hit the
button




14) IMGBURN will look something like this depending on the options you’ve selected. Select your speed and that should be just about it. (NOTE: you don’t need to select anymore options then what I’ve told you!)



15) HIT this option to burn


and your done, please post any problems or questions you have when going through with this, I’ll also help you with any problems you may have using any Elaborate Bytes software to burn.

(when if first put this guide up i said if you create a video iso then burned you it would be a viewable dvd in any dvd player, sorry i was very stupid, i only tested it in my dvd player, which it turned out that my dvd player can read data dvd's with videos that contain the right video extension (wtf), so my bad people, thank kun-fu action jesus (or the staff members) that AD doesn't have karma)

Is DOISO just another way to convert .mp4 to a dvd compliant .iso?
The pictures and the guide look very nice, but I had to assume by your folder names what the actual process is. What file types does DOISO recode to ISO? Is the under 5 minutes the special part?
I'm not trying to be an ass, I just want more info.

 

Rotary- you (an addict)of all people should know that burn speeds can range from 2x to 42x, you can select multiple speeds.

 

Deadrum33- yup your right DOISO can take any type of video file and create it into a iso, it has burn function but it's useless so thats why i put in imgburn.

 

Actually, it ranges from around 1x to 52x if we're covering all media - DVD and CD.

However, DVD +/- R/RW can be burnt @ 1x - 20x, with media that "maxes out" @ 16x. Burning at the higher speeds is not recommended/favoured by some members; you as another member should respect that.

Don't lecture people who are more than in the know when clearly you aren't.

Very poor media. You need to invest in some decent DVDs; something along the lines of Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden.

How is the quality of the final disc after expanding it to DVD?
Is it comparable to a good DivX, XVid and the like?

to be fair i didnt really explain to much in first post, as i dont just read this post i read all over AD and try post/help out others, but as seenabove, yeah i always burn at 4x on decent media. seen to many hassles right across the board on faster speeds...

good work on guide there... ok to to another part of ad... hehe

 

Deadrum33-----whats great about this is that the quality of the dvd will be just as good as the original video file, but on the flip side if you have a bad quality video file.....

 

So to clarify, the purpose of this guide is to convert iPod video (mpeg4) to dvd with "no loss of quality" (according to you)?

Technical definitions alone make the miracle of "no loss of quality after you shrink it down then re-expand it" rank up with the invention of free porn on the internet...
If the program does just as good as others only quicker, then it just might be some good freeware. The next RipIt4Me maybe?
I hope this thread stays active to see others experiments compared to mine.

 

Doiso is no more than a program that will create an ISO of any files; it does not convert video files at all. So you can't take an mpeg, avi, wmv or any other file and expect this program to convert it to a DVD compliant file or any other format for that matter. The title of this thread and guide is misleading you are really just taking some files and creating an ISO (image) this can be done with just about any of the 1,000's of programs out there and they all do it in less than 5 min.

Nice guide if you are just showing someone how to create an ISO, but misleading.

Have to say I was a touch skeptical as to the supposed job the DoIso does..

 

just dont use folder2ISO...

Like I stated before nice guide, just need to change the name to something more like "Create An ISO in under 5 min" and it needs to be posted in the users guide section of AD.
