Monster cable question

    What is the difference between ultra 1000, ultra 800, ultra 400, ultra......

    can't find anything

    Electrically probably nothing. Monetarily I'd hazard a guess of 50% more bucks for each step up. You can't seriously believe 'Monster Cables' are anything but Hype?

    usually the housing or the connector plating but as oly pointed out mostly lotsa bucks.

    i bought a gold plated hdmi cable from pic and save 4 10 bucks works great

    difference is in the speed of transmission
    ultra 1000 has 10.5 gbs
    ultra 700 has 4.95 gbs
    ultra 500 has 2.23 gbs

    I do not see any need buying more than Monster 400 for a 1080p source for under 10 feet. Monster's 300 would be fine for a 720p source. Above 10 feet, however is a different story.
