On my first try at chipping an xbox, I soldered my pin header upside down according to the installation diagrams I used. I have a duox2gs chip. The pin header is the typical style with 2 parts (male & female pieces) that plug into each other. The diagrams say the female piece goes in the chip and the male end goes in the mb. I removed the necessary pins on the piece I soldered to the chip.

Well I got the pieces reversed and was wondering if all these pins are just a straight through connection or am I changing the circuit by having it upside down? None of the pins are connected to each other within the pin header, right?

shouldn't matter, though if you change chips you will need to install the 'wrong' header in the new chip.

Yes, they are straight through you just need to make sure you match up the pins you removed, with the holes that are not being used on the motherboard. Your diagram should show you which two pins you removed are not being used.
