new desktop???

    i'm wanting to make a computer that will be able to play crysis on max settings. here is the list so far. my budget is also around $2,000 us/dollars. its gonna be on 4gb of ram. thanks for the help, i know i need a tower, im also wanting to upgrade the sound card, and monitor will come as soon as i find one.

    It looks ok, but I would go with a Quad core from intel if you're going to spend $210 on a duel core. But then again, you will also need a new mobo. The rest of the stuff looks good, except for the graphics card. A GTX? Why not a GT, or even better, 2 GT in Sli? If you buy 2 and put them in SLi, you will get better performance than the single GTX and for around the same price too.

    what about a single 8800 ultra? or will the dual out perform the 8800 ultra?

    Well, a ultra is a waste of money. It's just an overclocked GTX that costs an extra $100. I believe 2 8800GTs in Sli would outperform an ultra, as the 8800GT is not very far off the GTX. Its only 300 points away in 3dmark06 I believe.
