I got bioshock on the PC yesterday and installed it, then when I played it, there is about a 1 second delay from when I move the mouse and when the character moves and it seems like the game is dropping frames. Plus, when I close the game, the HDD LED on my computer is still blinking like crazy 5 minutes after the game closes. Then, the whole computer starts running slow. Now, I want to know what I should change, the grpahics card, or the ram The system is a Dell Inspirion 6400 laptop it has Windows XP 1 GB of ram an Nvidia GeForce 7300 256 MB a sigma tel Hi Definition Sound card a Intel Centrino Duo Dual core processor of 1.6Ghz in each core please tell me what I should change to make it run normally thank you
If the computer is slow then it's probably something related to either the RAM or the Processor. I'm running the game on: Intel Core 2 Duo Viiv E6550 2.33GHz Nvidia GeForce 7350 LE 2 GB RAM Windows Vista And the game runs fine with all settings on low.
it could aalso be your grafixes card, bioshock has some pretty strict requirements even on the most high-end pc's
...Cant upgrade a laptop's graphics card as it is a integrated chip, not a real card. Get a gaming pc to play it on.
...If you have $4000 do spend, then yes. But forget about overclocking, upgrading, and carry a power cord everywhere because the battery never lasts more than an hour. Or, you can get a desktop, with 2 8800s and a quad core for about 2500 no problem.
